Current Students - Use Degree Map

Degree Map is a web-based, interactive application that makes it easier for you to:

  1. Chart your education goals
  2. Plan class schedules
  3. Track progress toward completion
  4. Be better informed about degree requirements, time and costs

It works in tandem with the Campus Connection advising report, so you'll see the classes you've taken and plan what's ahead.

How to Use Academic Advising Technology

Many of the resources below can be found by logging into your Campus Connection account. To log in to Campus Connection, be sure you have claimed your NDUS Accountand know your username and password. If you do not have your username and password or have forgotten them, please visit theOnline Help Centerfor assistance managing your NDUS Account.

How-to Guides

  • Log in to Campus Connection
  • Click Manage Classes
  • Click Class Search and Enroll
  • Select the Term

Class Search

  • SelectCourse Subjectfrom the dropdown box (ex. Biology)
  • EnterCourse Number(optional) (ex. 150)
  • Select the appropriateCourse Career(ex. undergraduate)
    • Optional: Remove the check from the Open Classes Only box to find all possible classes
  • ClickSearch
  • Find desired class
  • ClickSelect Classbutton on desired class
  • Specify any class preferences if available/desired/required (ex. waitlist option, permission number, units, etc.)
  • ClickNext
  • Your chosen course has now been added to your shopping cart

Checkout

To finish enrolling, checkout your shopping cart.

  • Access your shopping cart
  • Review courses listed
  • ClickProceed to Step 2 of 3
  • Review your chosen courses one final time
  • ClickFinish Enrolling
  • Read your messages
    • Please read the error message for the reason you were not enrolled into the course
    • Green ✓= success, you have been enrolled
    • Red X = error, your chosen class was not added

Important:Classes beginning before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. will not be automatically displayed in this view.

  • Within your Student Center, click My Academics in Academics
  • Click on View my Advisem*nt Report, located to the right of Academic Requirements
    • From this page, you can expand or collapse your desired information
    • Courses will be marked with corresponding taken, in progress, and planned icons throughout the report
    • To access a printer-friendly version, click the green View Report as PDF at the top

You can quickly and easily check your grades using Campus Connection:

  • Log in to Campus Connection
  • SelectAcademic Records
  • SelectView Grades
  • SelectSemester

To view your class registration date and time:

  • Log in to Campus Connection
  • Click Manage Classes
  • Click Enrollment Dates
  • View the date and time listed for theRegular Academic Session

If you are a current student, you can view and print an unofficial copy of your transcript through Campus Connection:

  • Log in to Campus Connection
  • Click Academic Records
  • Click View Unofficial Transcript
  • Click Submit

Class Instruction Modes

When preparing to register for your classes, please be aware of the different types of instruction modes that UND offers. Not all classes offer all types of instruction modes.

A form of instruction in which students spend at least half of their time learning online and the rest of their time learning in a physical classroom whether on campus or off campus.

Instruction is provided in a self-study, self-paced format where the instructor and student mutually establish method(s) of communication.

Describes the traditional classroom setting where the instructor and students are physically located in the same place in an off campus location and may incorporate the use of multiple supportive technologies as appropriate.

Online instruction occurring independent of time or location.

Online instruction occurring independent of location, but at the same time (real time).

A video and audio communications session between two or more remote sites with live, animated image transmission and display. This connection allows for both the faculty and students to be seen and heard by each other.
