How to Submit Your AP Exam Score to UND
When you're ready to apply to UND, you should either:
- Indicate school code 6878 on the AP exam form to send your score directly to UND, or
- Contact the College Board to send your AP exam score directly to UND after you've received your AP exam results. A fee will apply.
UND will evaluate your AP exam score as part of your admission application process. Keep in mind that UND typically receives AP scores about one month after the College Board scores your exam.
Based on your AP score and the credits earned, the equivalent UND course will be recorded on your record with a Satisfactory (S) grade. Refer to the UND Grading System for more information on S-U grading.

Cambridge International Edexcel
Criteria for Awarding UND Credit for International A‐Level Examinations
Official General Certificates of Education (GCE) required from:
- University of Cambridge International Examinations
- Edexcel General Certificate of Education
Students can receive credit for Advanced “A” and “AS” Level examinations only.
No credit will be awarded for “O” Level or Ordinary “A” Level examinations.
Credit will be awarded for each examination passed as indicated below:
- 8 credits will be awarded for advance level exams.
- 4 credits will be awarded for advanced subsidiary exams.
General Certificates of Education should be received within the first semester of enrollment at
UND.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Through the national College Board's College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), you may take CLEP Subject Exams to earn UND credit based on what you already know.
Carefully consider if CLEP credit will meet your educational needs. For example, some graduate, medical and law schools may have restrictions on CLEP credits accepted. For details, visit with your high school counselor or contact:

How to Submit Your CLEP Exam Score to UND
When you're ready to apply to UND, you should either
- Indicate school code 6878 on the CLEP registration form to send your score directly to UND, or
- Contact the College Board to send your CLEP score directly to UND after you've received your exam results. A fee will apply.
UND will evaluate your CLEP Subject Exam score as part of your admission application process. Keep in mind UND typically receives a CLEP score within 7 to 10 business days.
Based on your CLEP score and the credits earned, the equivalent UND course will be recorded on your record with a Satisfactory (S) grade. (Refer to the UND Academic Catalog for more information on S-U grading.)

International Baccalaureate (IB) Program
You may earn UND credits if your high school participates in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Designed for students aged 16 to 19, the IB Diploma Program's curriculum leads to final exams in 6 subject areas. IB exams are given every May and November. For details, visit with your high school counselor or contact the International Baccalaureate Organization.
How to Submit Your IB Score to UND
When you're ready to apply to UND, you have the following options:
- Prior to your exam results being released, ask your high school's IB coordinator to submit a transcript request to the IB on your behalf. The IB will then forward your transcript directly to UND. You may request a maximum of 6 transcripts through your school's IB coordinator at no charge, but only one can be requested for a U.S. school, or
- After your exam results are released, you must request the IB to send your transcripts directly to UND by completing the appropriate transcript request form. A fee will apply.

Other College-Level Courses
If you're taking college-level courses through a college or university, you may transfer your credits to UND. Your school may refer to college-level courses as:
- Dual Credit
- Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO)
- Early Entry
- University in the High School Program
In general, all college-level credits attempted at institutions accredited by a regional or national accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), including the American Council on Education (ACE), will be transferred to UND
Certain exceptions to this rule include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Remedial or preparatory courses
- Credit granted for life experience by other institutions
- Institution-based credit by exam
- Non-degree continuing education courses
UND's academic departments will determine if the transferred credits will apply to your specific major and degree program.
Online, Enroll Anytime Courses from UND
If you're interested in taking college-level courses from UND while you're still in high school, check out UND's self-paced, enroll anytime courses. Pending your school's approval, these courses may qualify for dual credit.
How to Submit College Transcripts to UND
When you're ready to apply to UND, request the college or university where you earned the credit to send your official college transcript(s) directly to:

Typically, a high school transcript does not include the official information that is needed to properly award credit at UND, so you must obtain the transcripts directly from the college or university. Ask your counselor if you're unsure which college or university awards college-level credits at your high school.
