CLAUDETTE LAUREEN RALLS

We regretfully announce the passing of Claudette Laureen Ralls, 73, of Moberly, Mo., who passed away on November 1, 2023, following a massive stroke. Claudette was predeceased by her parents, Claude Greenwood and Betty Ziff (Sol), and her brother, Danny Greenwood. She is survived by her sister, Penel Jensen, her two sons, Jonathan (Amy) and Bryan (Jenny), and her five grandchildren, Joshua, Sean, Abi, Zach, and Jordan. Claudette was born in Webster City, Iowa, and as a young girl attended Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Mo. As a part of a very musical family growing up, she and her family (The Greenwood Family Singers) traveled and sang at church revivals across Missouri. They even recorded an album. In addition to music, she also enjoyed oil painting and reading (especially presidential biographies). She also had a great love for miniature dachshunds. She was an active member of Union Avenue Christian Church in Moberly where she served playing the piano and organ for many years. Our family is thankful to know that Claudette is no longer suffering and is finally at peace. A celebration of life visitation will be held this Saturday, January 13 at Timberlake Christian Church at 10 a.m.

BONITA (BONNIE) LEE CAMPBELL

Bonnie Lee Campbell, 80, of Moberly, Mo., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Clarence Care Center in Clarence, Mo. Bonnie was the daughter of John Edward and Maggie Elizabeth (Garrett) Ames, born on February 1, 1943, in Rock Island, Ill. She was married to Walter Eugene Campbell on January 1, 1979. Gene and Bonnie were owners of Campbell Roofing Company in Moberly for many years. She was a lover of garage sales. You could see her driving her car to get that bargain, then on her daily visit to Goodwill, and then on to Sally’s. She was a collector of Boyd Bears, costume jewelry, and Fenton glass. Bonnie was an over the top decorator for every holiday, she went all out. Christmas was her most loved holiday, we could always count on that box of chocolate covered cherries being under the tree for us. Bonnie leaves behind her children, Debbie (Daren) McCreery of Renick, Mo., Donnie (Tina) Richmond of Moberly, and Candy (Brandon) Jaecques of Clifton Hill, Mo.; grandchildren, Mandy (Nathan) Powell, Moberly, Michael McCreery, Moberly, Matthew (Lynette) McCreery of Blue Springs, Mo., Sierra Richmond of Columbia, Mo., and Peyton Jaecques of Clifton Hill, Mo.; great-great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Kemper, Kellen Powell of Moberly, Brendan McCreery, Macon, Mo., Novalee, Memphis McCreery, and Rosie Moreno, Blue Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Gene Campbell, her parents, sisters Francis, Mardell, Betty, Barb, and Mary, and brothers Clarence, Terry, and John, Billy. DEBORAH LYNN ROSCHER

Deborah Lynn Roscher was born April 15, 1958, to Doyle and Opal (Williams) Wallberg of Holiday, Mo. Deborah passed away on December 26, 2023, peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. She married the love of her life Raymond Roscher on December 31, 1999. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandma, aunt, and friend. Deborah will be missed by her husband (Raymond Roscher), two sons (Tommy Wallberg; wife Bonnie Wallberg) and (Adam Wallberg; wife Caitlyn Wallberg), 5 grandchildren (Hunter Wallberg, Remington Wallberg, MacKenna Wallberg, Emma Wallberg, and Harper Wallberg) and countless other relatives and friends. She will be joining many loved ones including her loving parents Doyle and Opal Wallberg. FRANKLIN LEON HIETT

January 3, 1932 - December 3, 2023 Franklin Leon (Buddy) Hiett was born January 3, 1932, to parents Irene E. Kirtley and Orville L. Hiett. He had one sister, Marilyn M. Hiett Catlin. All are now deceased. As a family they all lived in Moberly, Mo. In 1946, the family moved to Houston, Texas, and Buddy attended San Jacinto High School for his remaining three years of school, graduating in the class of 1949. He enlisted in the Army National Guard TX, 36th div. - 143rd Infantry Service Co. for a year after graduation, and when the war in Korea started, he joined the U.S. Air Force. After basic training in San Antonio, he was sent to Aero Tech School in California for Aircraft Maintenance Training. Upon graduation, he was sent to Japan/Korea to work on aircraft. After two years he returned to the U.S. and was stationed at Ellington AB in Houston. He then transferred to the Air Force Reserves for four years. He worked in a chemical plant for a year and then enrolled at University of Houston to study Engineering.

DEBORAH (DEBBIE) ANN WILSON

Deborah (Debbie) Ann Wilson, 69, of Moberly, Mo., passed away surrounded by family on December 7, 2023, at University Hospital. Debbie was born on August 15, 1954, in Moberly to Virgil Apel and Katherine Virginia Palmatory (Apel). She married Edward Ray Wilson on August 19, 1972, in Moberly. She enjoyed crafting, thrifting, and spending time with family. Her family will always have fond memories of her being silly, laughing all the time, and consider her as being fun, caring, and a dance-aholic. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two siblings, Billy Joe and Brenda. Debbie is survived by her two daughters, Crystal Wilson and s/o Jeffery Derboven of Moberly; Katherine Merissa Wilson of Moberly; three grandchildren, Alyssa Sickler, Taylon Traver, and Payton Traver, all of which are from Moberly; four surviving siblings, Carolyn (Billy) Starks of Renick, Mo., Beverly (Wilson) McCormick of Jacksonville, Mo., Larry (Terry) Apel of Clark, Mo., Tom (Margo) of Deming, N.M. A celebration of life will be held at North Park Church located at 401 Franklin Ave in Moberly at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 . A lunch will follow in the church basem*nt.

KATHY L. HAYNES

Kathy L. Haynes (nee Goff), 67, of O’Fallon, Ill., born September 15, 1956, in Moberly, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at her home. Kathy met and married her high school sweetheart, Mansfield Haynes, in December of 1975 before graduating in March of 1976 from Benson High School in Omaha, Neb., and joining her husband at Ft. Bragg, N.C. As a military wife, they were stationed at several bases. After retirement, they returned to Omaha where Kathy began to work for Immanuel Hospital in Environmental Service until leaving in 2014. Shortly after, Kathy and her husband moved to O’Fallon where he had a contracting job. Kathy enjoyed various activities such as bowling and quilting until her condition prevented it. She mostly loved being a housewife and taking care of her husband and children. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Patricia Goff (nee Noonan); one brother, David Goff; and one sister, Debra Kinney. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Mansfield Haynes of O’Fallon; their two children, Christina Maria (Larry Palmer) Haynes of Omaha, Loretta Ann (Terry) Welborg of Omaha; three siblings, Robert (Jaala) Goff of Omaha, Mary (Jim) Basket of Pheonix, Ariz., Tracy (Scott) Thompson of Omaha; two grandchildren, Derrick McNamara, Kaitlyn McNamara; one great-grandson, Evander Swift; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the World Wildlife Foundation; www.worldwildlife.org. Condolences may be made online at www.schildknechtfh.com. A visitation was held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 3 - 6 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon, IL 62269.
