Anna, a sophom*ore back then at Georgia, enthusiastically supported Julia’s decision. “If I’m going to do this, I’m going to go all-in,” Julia affirmed. “I want to get a good education and a fresh start in track,” she added.

Anna wasted no time in advocating for Julia’s move to Georgia. Upon Julia’s consideration of another school, she promptly recommended Georgia to her and facilitated communication with the coaches.

The transition from Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Athens, Georgia, was made smoother for Julia with Anna’s guidance. “Everything here is all brand new. I’ve never been to the state of Georgia besides the airport for a layover until I came,” Julia shared.

“She showed me around and introduced me to people, and everyone has been super welcoming. It’s been great, and the fact that we get to train together sometimes is really fun,” she concluded her statement.

Anna’s journey into track and field commenced at the age of seven, initially focusing on the high jump and later expanding her repertoire to include the 1500 meters.

Despite her early involvement in track, her upbringing in the mountainous region led her to engage in various sports, including skiing, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, and field hockey.

Additionally, she embraced swimming as a member of her neighborhood pool team during the summer months. Anna’s diverse athletic background reflects her passion for sports and her well-rounded approach to physical activities.

Sheswitchedfrom Arapahoe to Valor Christian for her sophom*ore year in high school. She achieved significant success, winning three New Balance Nationals pentathlon titles between 2017 and 2019 and securing the 2018 New Balance Nationals high jump championship.
