I love my high school. Although it can improve in some ways, I wouldn’t change my experience at all. I loved being involved in multiple extracurricular activities and meeting so many people. Even if the lunch food wasn’t always the best, or if our teams lost, the memories I made are irreplaceable. I am nervous to graduate but I do feel prepared for the next step. And when I need a little extra support, I know I have teachers who care about me and want to help in any way they can. I’m going to miss being on the soccer team with all my best friends, even though we lost most of our games. Although, I definitely will not miss being dress coded and marked tardy all the time. But overall I love my school!

North Sanpete was a big change for me, as I was moving from a school with 4,000 students to one that barely had 1,000. The students are not often the most welcoming, and the student culture can be very toxic. Many of them have known each other for years and harbor longtime grudges that affect everyone else around them. The faculty, on a different note, are some of the most dedicated and compassionate people I have ever met in an academic setting. They truly changed my experience at this school and helped ease the transition when I moved. I really hope that there will be more opportunity for this school to grow in respects to their class / club offerings and the opportunities for learning they are able to provide for the students. I also hope they stop serving chunky, expired milk, but that’s another story. All in all, I would love to see more uniting school spirit and people (mainly students) just getting along. Student atmosphere was only inclusive once I had made solid friendships.

My favorite part of attending North Sanpete High School was the teachers they really cared about the students. They would try to get to know them on a personal level and try to connect with them. The worst part is drug problem the school has. many kids show up with vapes, weed and sometimes alcohol. I would like to see the school culture improve.
